About Us

Our Story

Established over ten years ago, M.PATMOS designs modern wardrobe staples and sophisticated, textural knitwear meant to be passed down to future generations.

Focused on high quality and minimizing our environmental impact, we’ve worked with small family owned factories and workshops for many years, merging sustainable artisan hand crafted techniques and technology to create beautiful designs in luxurious, natural fibers.

We opened our shop in the fall of 2018 in Brooklyn, New York where we focus on bringing you the best from like minded independent designers.

Sustainability

We value collaboration and seek to uplift fellow small businesses who value people and sustainable choices as much as their bottom line. Our garments are created using a variety of different hand powered techniques such as hand knitting, crocheting, and block printing using top quality, locally sourced fabrics, like baby alpaca, wool, and 100% Indian grown cotton. We use yarns that are left in their beautiful natural color or dyed with azo free or natural dyes. We also believe in using deadstock yarns - materials that would otherwise just sit in our partners’ warehouses. Year by year, we stay committed to improving our sustainability standards and reducing carbon footprint through conscious sourcing and production - with the intention of creating long lasting, biodegradable garments.

Partnerships

We partner with like minded businesses around the world that value responsible production practices and traditional artisanal techniques. We work with fair trade certified businesses, family-owned factories with some of the most skilled tailors, yarn spinners, fabric producers, as well as small family run workshop that employs a talented knitting collective made up of predominantly woman artisans. We value collaborations with our artisan partners and financially investing in their craftsmanship and community.
