For me this work is a prayer. I experience a sense of sacredness when I allow myself to become completely present to the experience of my brush and its paint moving around the paper.
Since I was a very young person I found a similar feeling in prayer as in drawing. It’s that space in myself that these marks come from. It's void of the inner critic and there is a deep sense of continuous peace. Simply said, it is a quiet way I communicate with myself. There is a cherished intimacy that I hope others are able to see and feel.
