Deborah Forman Color Workshop at M.Patmos
Saturday and Sunday June 24th and 25th
1-3pm
This workshop will cover some basic tenets of color interaction ( hue, value and intensity) that will inspire you to create a work of art. A brief history of color theory via Newton, Geothe and the Bauhaus will be presented before partaking in a guided abstract collage project that utilizes Color Aid as well as hand-painted paper. We are all born with an innate and unique color sensibility. Come express your own version, in this zero stress, fun two hour workshop. All materials provided. All levels welcome. Ages 16 and up.
Deborah's Background:
Deborah Forman has a BFA from RISD, an MSAE from Massachusetts College of Art, and an MFA from aParsons. She has taught Foundation studies at Wheaton College and RISD CE for 16 years, and is the author of two art instructional books - Paint Lab ( 2013), and Color Lab ( 2015) - Quarry Books. She is a professional painter whose work is shown and collected both internationally and domestically. She maintains a studio in Providence, RI, where she lives with her husband and teenage son.
