A twist on the resist dye techniques of India and Japan, our stitch shibori is a painstaking process that involves accordion pleating the fabric from selvage to selvedge, running it through with 40 to 50 rows of stitching, dyeing the fabric, sometimes with multiple colors to reach the desired result, and then removing all of the stitch lines and engineering the pattern created to blend perfectly with its paired garment.
About NYMåNE:
NYMåNE signifies a new start, a blank slate where a brand with greater value can be formed. We believe in the value of slowing down. Of choosing quality over quantity. We believe in taking time to do things the right way, instead of the fast way. Each design we create is handmade, consciously sourced, and deeply respectful of the people and materials behind them.
