This Pre Fall we collaborated with photographer Bibi Cornejo Borthwick to create our lookbook for the season. Bibi shot film in a Bushwick studio, producing images in her dreamy and distinctive style.
With such a strong aesthetic, we couldn’t wait to ask Bibi what her favorite pieces were from the M.PATMOS Pre Fall collection. Her selections were, of course, chic, playful and effortless (all the most important characteristics of M.PATMOS clothing) for the new season. We were also lucky enough to get an update on her latest photography projects, as well as her work to start a charity:
What are you working on in the world of photography?
Recently I’ve been working on a lot of collaborations with designers. I’m really interested in finding designers to grow with, creating an identity together. Aside from that I have a few personal projects I’m constantly working on, as well as some editorials.
You started a charity called TU SISI, which helps empower orphans in Swaziland. Can you tell us more about the work you are doing?
We’re in the final stages - starting a charity has become so difficult in NYC. We have been working and preparing for the past two and a half years – TU SISI will work to empower Swazi children through music and art programs. Swaziland has the highest rate of HIV in the world and we are going to work to create opportunity and outlets for the next generation. As well as provide the children with necessary medication, food, clean water, living and school supplies. My main goal with TU SISI is to give the kids a chance. We all deserve a chance.
